The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra to Perform at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (PRSO), together with chief conductor Petr Popelka, will bring works by renowned Czech composers to Hamburg, Germany.

This exceptional concert will take place on November 6th in one of Europe’s most iconic concert halls, the Großer Saal of Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie.

During the two-hour concert, the orchestra will introduce German audiences to a part of Czech musical history. The program includes La Bagarre and the Violin Concerto by Bohuslav Martinů, The Noon Witch by Antonín Dvořák, and Fairy Tale by Josef Suk. Czech violinist Josef Špaček will perform as the soloist.

Elbphilharmonie, often referred to as the “Pearl on the Elbe,” is an architectural gem and one of the world’s most modern concert halls. Opened in 2017, it has since attracted artists and music lovers from around the globe. Its signature wavy roof symbolizes the water’s surface, while its perfect acoustics ensure a unique musical experience for every listener.

This concert offers not only a musical encounter with the masterpieces of Czech classical music but also the unique atmosphere of one of Europe’s most important cultural centers.
