Chinaski with Orchestra for the First Time
The concert will take place on May 19, 2025, at Forum Karlín in Prague, conducted by Jan Kučera.
The popular Czech band Chinaski and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will join forces for a unique concert, offering brand-new arrangements of the band’s greatest hits.
For thirty years, Chinaski has been one of the most prominent names on the Czech music scene. Their melodies are known across generations—whether it’s energetic rock songs, melancholic ballads, or playful tracks with Michal Malátný’s unmistakable lyrics. Thanks to their collaboration with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, their music will take on a new dimension—layered arrangements, rich harmonies, and the dynamics of a large symphonic ensemble will highlight the emotions hidden in each song.
Fans can look forward to songs like 1. signální, Klára, 1970, or Víno. The orchestral arrangements are being created by Chinaski’s own Jan Steinsdörfer. Through this collaboration, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra continues its tradition of crossover projects, having previously worked with bands and artists such as Tata Bojs, Ondřej Pivec, Aneta Langerová, and Radůza. “A symphony orchestra is not just the domain of classical music. We believe that with this concert, we will bring the power and beauty of a live orchestra closer to those who don’t usually attend our performances. The combination of popular music and symphonic sound creates a unique experience that no one should miss,” says Jakub Čížek, director of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for the concert are available through Ticketmaster and Ticketportal.
