Highlights of the season will include the Opening Concert inspired by the orchestra’s historic first performance in 1926, the New Year Concert, and two evenings dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the death of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Audiences can also look forward to appearances by leading conductors and soloists from the Czech Republic and abroad. Alongside Elias Grandy, the season will feature artists such as Jakub Hrůša, Václav Luks, Tomáš Netopil and Petr Popelka.

Soloists will include Gautier Capuçon, Lukáš Vondráček, Jan Mráček and Radek Baborák. The programme will combine celebrated symphonic masterpieces with less frequently performed musical discoveries.

The 100th season will also include special projects for wider audiences – a joint concert with the band Monkey Business, the return of the Thousand Voices for the Vltava Philharmonic project, and the Concert in the Dark for the Czech Radio Foundation Světluška.
