Jaroslava Čiháková Tajanovská – oboe, cor anglais
Ivana Švestková – harp

This chamber evening brings together the delicate colours of the oboe and cor anglais with the lyrical sound of the harp.

The programme offers a varied selection of music ranging from Impressionist-inspired miniatures to virtuoso concert pieces. It includes Bernard Andrès’s Algues – seven pieces for oboe and harp, Benjamin Britten’s Six Metamorphoses after Ovid, Op. 49 and Suite for Harp, Op. 83, as well as Erik Satie’s Trois Gnossiennes No. 1 and Trois Gymnopédies Nos. 1 and 3 in arrangements for cor anglais and harp. The evening culminates in Antonio Pasculli’s virtuoso work Omaggio a Bellini for cor anglais and harp.

Jaroslava Čiháková Tajanovská

is an oboist and cor anglais player and a member of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her orchestral work, she is also active in chamber music and performs in projects focusing on lesser-known repertoire for wind instruments.

Ivana Švestková

is a harpist with the Brno Philharmonic. In addition to her orchestral work, she has long devoted herself to chamber music and collaborates with Czech and international soloists on projects that present the harp in unusual instrumental combinations.

The concert will be broadcast live on Czech Radio D-dur:
