SOČR Welcomes Soprano Olga Bezsmertna
The Czech Prague Symphony Orchestra is preparing an extraordinary concert, which will take place at the Municipal House.
The evening's distinguished guest will be soprano Olga Bezsmertna, who will perform Richard Strauss's Four Last Songs.
Olga Bezsmertna, a native of Ukraine, is among the top sopranos of our time. She began her career in Vienna, where she quickly became a member of the Wiener Staatsoper. Her voice is celebrated for its exceptional clarity, technique, and profound emotional expression. She has performed on leading opera stages worldwide and collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras.
Richard Strauss's Four Last Songs is one of the most beloved works in vocal literature. This cyclic composition was written at the end of the composer's life and is considered his artistic swan song. The texts of the songs, based on the poetry of Hermann Hesse and Joseph von Eichendorff, reflect on life, nature, and reconciliation with death. The music captivates with its lyrical beauty, and the orchestration is a masterful example of Strauss's artistry.
Don't miss this exceptional musical experience! Conducted by Robert Jindra and performed by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the concert will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 7:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
