Music is the shortest path from one person to another.
Jaroslav Ježek

A concert that gives space to young performers and new musical voices. In the Bethlehem Chapel, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra joins students of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, a school that for decades has been one of the most distinctive centres of jazz, popular and musical-theatre education in the Czech Republic.

The evening’s programme will be shaped by nominations from teachers and students and will offer a varied showcase of emerging talent – from instrumental performances to original compositions.

Projects of this kind offer young musicians an exceptional opportunity: appearing with a symphony orchestra in a professional concert setting is often one of the defining moments at the beginning of a musical career.

Conductor David Švec

is a prominent figure on the Czech music scene, moving naturally between the worlds of classical music, opera, musical theatre and jazz. He collaborates with leading orchestras and theatre companies and is known for his ability to respond sensitively to different musical styles and to the individuality of performers.

The Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory

has produced many remarkable musicians on the Czech music scene. Its graduates today work as instrumentalists, composers, arrangers and performers across a wide range of genres – from jazz and film music to theatre.

This evening offers something rarely heard on concert stages: a meeting between an experienced orchestra and young musicians who bring fresh ideas, courage and the joy of discovering music.

Ticket prices range from 400 to 600 CZK
