MusEquality is an original Czech musical quintet founded at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, devoted to imaginative interpretations of classical music inspired by folk traditions. The ensemble performs in an unusual chamber formation.

The combination of string instruments with cimbalom and accordion gives the group a distinctive sound in which the worlds of classical music and folklore meld naturally. The repertoire of MusEquality includes arrangements of well-known works by Baroque, Classical, and Romantic composers, as well as music inspired by folk dances and rhythms from different regions of Europe.

As part of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra’s Studio concert series, MusEquality will present a fresh programme full of energy, virtuosity, and playful stylistic freedom. Expect music in which classical repertoire meets its folk roots and traditional melodies take on a new contemporary voice, bringing listeners a colourful and unexpectedly compelling musical experience.

The concert will be broadcast live on Czech Radio D-dur.
