Concertino Praga: Young Masters Without Borders

6. listopad 2026

Studio 1, Czech Radio, Friday 6 November 2026 at 7.30 p.m.

This concert brings together young musical talents from the Czech Republic and Austria, presenting finalists of the Concertino Praga competition alongside the Austrian ensemble Gugg Piano Duo.

The programme offers a varied selection of chamber music from the Romantic period to the 20th century. The evening features Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture in an arrangement for piano duo, Smetana’s dramatic Piano Trio in G minor, and Robert Schumann’s lyrical Three Romances. The second part of the concert includes Dvořák’s spirited Slavonic Dances and Francis Poulenc’s Sonata for Clarinet and Piano.

By bringing together young performers from different countries, this inspiring concert connects the tradition of Czech music with the wider European chamber repertoire and offers audiences a glimpse of a new generation of musicians without borders.

The concert will be broadcast live on Czech Radio D-dur.
