Autumn concerts with the Ptague Radio Symphony Orchestra
The first subscription concert at the Rudolfinum
The first subscription concert of the season takes place on Monday, 5 October, featuring one of the greatest orchestral masterpieces ever written – The Planets by Gustav Holst.
Conducted by Jan Kučera, whose artistic career has long been connected with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the evening will take audiences on a spectacular musical journey through the solar system, from the powerful Mars to the mysterious Neptune.
The programme will also include the world premiere of Jan Kučera's Violin Concerto, performed by PRSO concertmaster David Pokorný.
Concertino Praga celebrates 60 years
The prestigious Concertino Praga competition celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will naturally be part of the celebrations.
On Sunday, 18 October, conductor Robert Kružík will lead a festive gala featuring renowned artists including Václav Hudeček, Radek Baborák and Dmitry Sitkovetsky, alongside outstanding young talents Jan Čmejla, Daniel Matejča and Filippo Lombardi.
The programme includes works by Bach, Shostakovich, Glière and Saint-Saëns.
Lukáš Vondráček returns to the PRSO
Internationally acclaimed pianist Lukáš Vondráček reunites with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra to perform Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 under the baton of Chief Conductor Elias Grandy.
The concert will also feature the world premiere of a new work by Petr Wajsar, alongside Richard Strauss's iconic tone poem Also sprach Zarathustra.

More than 200 performers on stage
The orchestra's first concert of the season at Prague's Municipal House presents one of the greatest choral masterpieces of the 20th century – Benjamin Britten's War Requiem.
The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Prague Philharmonic Choir and the Czech Radio Children's Choir, under the baton of Lukáš Vasilek.
