The Quartet Apollon ensemble celebrates its 30th anniversary in the 2022/23 season. It has a number of CDs with works by classical and contemporary composers, and is also known for its forays into crossover music.

Quartet from 1879, dedicated to violinist Jean Becker. Initiated by Karel Kozánek, a lawyer, pianist, Czech patriot and a great friend of Dvořák working in Kroměříž. The work is already one of the composer's top chamber opuses.
