The moteto Exsultate, jubilate, one of the most beautiful spiritual works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, originated in Milan in 1773 following the successful presentation of the opera Lucio Silla. At the time the composer was impressed by the performance of the castrato Venanzio Rauzzini, of whom he said: “He sang like an angel,” and soprano Olga Jelínková will also undoubtedly sound angelic, as well.
