Jaroslav Šimáček

I come from Prague. I studied at the Prague Conservatory. Before joining the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, I performed with the Karlín Music Theatre Orchestra, the Suk Chamber Orchestra and the National Theatre Orchestra. I have been a member of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1 July 2009, playing in the second violin section.

What instrument do I play?

My instrument was made in 1990 in the workshop of Karel Vávra. I have owned it since 2015.

What was my childhood dream?

As a boy, I dreamed of becoming a footballer.

What do I enjoy?

I enjoy Japanese cuisine and therefore like making sushi. I also enjoy cheering for Czech athletes and spending my free time in South Bohemia or the Šumava Mountains.
