Václav Hudeček and young violinists, 30. 3. at the Municipal House
A superb line-up of violin virtuosos will come together at the fifth concert in the New Horizons series. One programme will feature Václav Hudeček and the most successful graduates of his Academy in Luhačovice who are today all top-notch artists: Petr Matěják (2012 winner of the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria’s Pörtschach); Jan Mráček (2014 winner of the 8th International Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna); and Josef Špaček (concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic since 2011 and 2012 laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels).
A repertoire made up of virtuoso compositions is sure to mean that “sparks will fly” at the Smetana Hall at the Municipal House on Monday 30 March – those on stage will be bona fide stars!
