Moscow native Alexander Ghindin, laureate of the prestigious piano competitions in Moscow and Brussels, acknowledged as one of the most original contemporary pianists by both audiences and experts, will perform Tchaikovsky’s Concerto no. 1 in B minor accompanied by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and Armenian conductor Vahan Mardirossian.
It will be another concert in the New Horizons series that the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra launched this season at the Municipal Hall’s Smetana Hall. Other pieces on the programme are also of Russian origin – the symphonic suite from Igor Stravinski’s The Firebird and Skrjabin’s opus Prometheus: The Poem of Fire.
