PRSO set to revisit Wiesbaden

10. prosinec 2014

For several years the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra has been a regular and welcome guest at Wiesbaden. At one of Europe’s oldest spa towns and a remarkable birthplace of culture, its musicians always prove themselves great interpreters of the music of Antonín Dvořák; this time they will also perform a famous Tchaikovsky opus.

Under the baton of principal conductor Ondrej Lenárd and accompanied by cellist Alexey Stadler, the PRSO will perform the following attractive programme at Wiesbaden’s Kurhaus on Saturday 27 December:

Antonín Dvořák: A Hero’s Song
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra, op. 33
Antonín Dvořák: Symphony no. 9 in E minor, “From the New World”, op. 95

The evening is part of a loose series in which all of the most famous Czech composer’s symphonies are gradually being performed.
