Music Forum Hradec Králové, 13 November
In existence since 2005, the Music Forum Hradec Králové festival has managed to earn a place of honour on the Czech music scene, while it its international reputation has also been growing. Its partner Czech Radio Vltava, which broadcasts the festival’s concerts live, has undoubtedly contributed to this. They are also picked up by the European Broadcasting Union network.
The festival focuses on worthy compositions from the second half of the 20th century and the start of the 21st century. The music is often combined with modern technology, light design and video and digital transmission technology.
The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra will close this year’s festival with a concert on Thursday 13 November from 20:00 at the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Hall. There, with the Bennewitz Quartet and conductor Peter Vrábel, and in cooperation with light designer Jaromír Vlček, it will perform pieces by John Corigliano, John Adams and Tan Dun.
