Traditional destination: Wiesbaden
Wiesbaden, one of the oldest spa towns in Europe and a byword for luxury, gentility and sophistication, has traditionally hosted important artistic events. The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra has been coming here for several years at the start of the season to perform a popular repertoire in the Kurhaus building.
This time, at 8 p.m. on Saturday 14 September, it will play Dvořák’s Golden Spinning Wheel, Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition and a concerto piece, Bruch’s violin concerto No. 1 in G minor with Michael Barenboim, the younger son of the famous composer, as soloist.
