With Dvořák to Germany
Since 2009, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra has been visiting Wiesbaden as part of the Rheingau Sommer festival, gradually performing symphonies and other works by the most famous Czech composer, Antonín Dvořák.
This year’s celebration of Czech music will take place on Saturday 1 September at the city’s Kurhaus, where the audience can look forward to the symphonic poem The Water Goblin, the Violin Concerto in A minor with soloist Liza Ferschtman and the 8th Symphony in G major, known as the “English” Symphony.
As has become traditional at the Dvořák cycle in Wiesbaden, the conductor will be Zdeněk Mácal.
