PRSO to partner leading soloists in Český Krumlov
Guests at the Castle Riding Hall in Český Krumlov on Saturday 21 July can look forward to seeing the leading Czech musician Václav Hudeček, who this year celebrates his 60th birthday.
The Český Krumlov International Music Festival has prepared a concert to congratulate him that will feature not only Hudeček’s own violin but that of Valery Oistrakh, a member of a legendary Russian musical dynasty, with whom the Czech musician is closely linked. Accompaniment will come from the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (PRSO), conducted by Ondrej Lenárd.
The PRSO will also be at the Castle Riding Hall on Friday 27 July to accompany one of the most in-demand contemporary pianists, Konstantin Shcherbakov, on Tchaikovsky’s Concerto in B minor. The programme will also include Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Concerto for Violin and Piano in D minor, featuring Korea’s Jeongah Kim. The PRSO will be conducted on that occasion by Manuel Hernandez-Silva.
