PRSO to record Janáček pieces works with Tomáš Netopil

9. červen 2012

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (PRSO), under the baton of conductor Tomáš Netopil, will record compositions by Leoš Janáček at the Rudolfinum’s Dvořák Hall in the second half of June, with the results set for a CD release on the Supraphon label.

The pieces in question are The Fidler’s Child, The Ballad of Blaník, Taras Bulba and Sinfonietta. Accompanying the PRSO will be members of the Band of the Castle Guard and Police of the Czech Republic.

Plans to continue the project represent a pleasant promise for the future. The next album should feature vocal instrumental work by Janáček.
