Stirring rhythms of the south in Litomyšl

“Bolero – Música Ibérica Y Latina” is the title of a festival programme at this year’s Smetana’s Litomyšl made up of Spanish and Latin American compositions. Performers will include Uruguayan conductor Robert Montenegro, mezzo soprano Jana Sýkorová, Argentina’s Marcelo Nisinman on bandoneon, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. June 23 is also Czech Radio Day at the international opera festival. The concert takes place at the second chateau courtyard at 19:30.

Manuel de Falla: Love the Magician (El amor brujo), suite from the ballet with vocal performance of a text by Gregorio Martínez Sierra
Ástor Piazzolla: Suita Punta del Este, tango nuevo for string orchestra and bandoneon

Maurice Ravel: Bolero
