PRSO to play twice at the Castle

5. prosinec 2015

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra concert on 16 December will be particularly festive. PRSO will launch the Czech Touches of Music festival in the Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle. Solos will be performed by violist Jitka Hosprová, cellist Michaela Fukačová and violinist Václav Hudeček, with Tomáš Brauner conducting.

The concert is conceived of as an invitation by Václav Hudeček, who is also the honorary president of the festival, to two outstanding performers. The violinist will meet with Michaela Fukačová, who is permanently living in Denmark, in Brahms’s famous Double Concerto. Jitka Hosprová will perform Bohuslav Martinů’s Rhapsody Concerto. The evening will open up with the moving Carnival Overture by Antonín Dvořák.

PRSO will be back in the Spanish Hall on 20 December, where it will be the protagonist of a concert entitled Johann Strauss Gala along with Chief Conductor Ondrej Lenárd.
