With PRSO to Kutná Hora
In May you are most likely to encounter the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra at festivals.
Between concerts at the Prague Spring the orchestra will also travel beyond the city’s gates to delight classical music buffs in Kutná Hora, a gorgeous town that is an esteemed backdrop and venue for a host of cultural events.
One of them, the Kutná Hora Music and Theatre Summer, will be launched by the PRSO conducted by Ondrej Lenárd on 28 May.
Alongside a selection from Smetana’s cycle My Country, the audience can look forward to arias and duets from the Czech operas of Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák, sung by National Theatre soloists – specifically Dana Burešová, Tomáš Černý and Vratislav Kříž.
