Opening concert
The Radio Symphony and its principal conductor, Ondrej Lenárd, teamed up with Jan Mráček, one of the most talented young Czech violinists, to launch the 91st season.
They did perform the lyrical and brilliant Violin Concerto written in 1945 by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, who was born in Brno and, before setting off on a successful career as a film composer in Hollywood during its Golden Age, was praised as a prodigy by Gustav Mahler.
