The last concert to be played by PRSO members in Studio 1 will merge the old and new, Classicism and neo-Classicism. The concert will open with the charming Concerto in D, which Igor Stravinsky composed in Hollywood in the 1940s. Mario Mesany will then perform the Concerto for Flute in E minor by Czech maestro of the 18th century, František Benda.
The programme will continue with Bohuslav Martinů’s neo-Classical Serenade No. 2 written for violin and viola and end with young Matyáš Novák – laureate of numerous international competitions, including Concertina Praga 2016 – playing W. A. Mozart’s remarkable Piano Concerto No. 15.
