Surely everyone is familiar with the spectacular plot of Miloš Forman’s “Amadeus”, based on Peter Shaffer’s play, in which the brilliant Mozart becomes the victim of Salieri, a mediocre composer who cannot cope with the talent and success of the young God-gifted prodigy. He indirectly contributes to the death of Mozart, who faced a difficult period of his life at that time. Salieri invents a commission for a funeral mass, which gradually kills Mozart. But how did things really go between the two famous composers? Quite differently actually. The enchanting music of both composers has survived to this day and is among the most performed worldwide. The Prague Wind Trio, together with the great soprano Maria Fajtová, will prove the music’s charm to you and will add compositions by other great composers, such as Mozart’s Prague host and friend F. X. Dušek and his successors.

The concert is broadcast live by Czech Radio station D-dur.
