Audition for the orchestral academy in the clarinet group

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra announces an audition for the orchestral academy in the clarinet group. Study period: 1 September 2022 – 30 June 2023.
The audition will take place on Tuesday 7 June 2022 at 10:00 in Studio S1 of the Czech Radio, Vinohradská 12, Prague 2.
How to apply
- Applications for the audition together with a CV should be sent to the Czech Radio – Personnel Department, Vinohradská 12, 120 99 Prague 2
or to the e-mail address: jan.moravec@rozhlas.cz no later than 25 May 2022. - The audition sheet music for orchestral parts is available for download below.
- Candidates will receive an invitation to the audition electronically after the deadline for applications, no later than 31 May 2022.
Required repertoire and orchestral parts
- Carl Maria von Weber: Clarinet Concerto No. 2 in E flat major, Op. 74 (1st movement, exposition)
- Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 8 in F, Op. 93
- Bedřich Smetana: My Country, A Cycle of Symphonic Poems: III. Sarka
- Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Op. 21, Scherzo
- Antonín Dvořák: Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 , "From the New World"
- Dmitri Shostakovich: Symphony No. 9 in E flat major, Op. 70
Piano accompaniment is provided by the PRSO, own piano accompaniment is possible.

The Orchestral Academy of the SOČR is intended for students and graduates of art schools aged 18–30. The maximum age of the applicant at the time of starting is 28 years.
Upon completion, the student will receive a certificate certifying graduation from the Orchestral Academy of the SOČR.
