Antonín Dvořák: Symfonie č. 6

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Petr Popelka, performs Dvořák’s Symphony in D major. Although it belongs to his earlier symphonies, it was long known as his “First” due to its publication in print. Written in just seven weeks at the turn of 1880, the work showcases the composer’s remarkable melodic talent, his sense of orchestral color, and his ability to combine classical form with a distinctly Czech musical language.
