We help

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra supports prematurely born babies and the heavily visually disabled.

Cooperation with the Foundation for Premature Children began back in 2016.

The funds collected from the benefit concert, at which fund patron Adam Plachetka performed accompanied by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, went to specific families with premature babies. The money helps the parents to be able to be with their children as much as possible during long-term hospitalisation, while for older children it paid for special physiotherapy that improves the health and quality of life of the child.

In 2017 the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra organised a benefit concert at the Municipal House in cooperation with Světluška.

On the stage blind artists performed alongside leading figures of Czech music. This was all accompanied by the radio symphony players led by conductor Radek Baborák.

PRSO donated the proceeds from the benefit concert to Světluška's public collection, which helps blind and heavily visually impaired children and adults in the Czech Republic.

PRSO will follow up on this tradition and in future seasons will help the needy by taking part in unique benefit concerts.
